A Marma villager was killed in Bandarban
On 15 July 2022 at around 2:30 am an innocent Jumma villager named Shoisingmong Marma (40), son of Khyidung Marma from No. 6 Jamchari Union of Sadar Upazila under Bandarban Hill District was killed brutally in his house by a group of miscreants by slitting his throat at Baghmara Headman Para of Ward No. 4 of Jamchari Union.
It is learnt that the victim father’s house is in Dardari Noapara village of Rupashi Para Union of Lama Upazila of Bandarban District. However, the victim left his house 20 years ago and have been living in his father-in-law’s house at Baghmara Headman Para of Jamchari Union. He is a sharecropper and part-time electrician by profession.
On the incident day at around 2:15 am to 2:30 am when Shoisingmong Marma woke up at midnight for urinate, some miscreants entered into his house and brutally strangled him with sharp weapons and left the scene.
Umanue Marma (36), wife of Shoisingmong Marma said, ‘3 masked men entered into the house at late night and killed her husband by slitting his throat.’ Immediately after the incident, Umanue Marma took shelter with her two children in a neighbour’s house.
After the incident the police recovered the throat-slit body of Shoisingmong Marma at around 10:00 am and took it to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
No one has been arrested till writing this report.
